2009 Beaujolais Nouveau

By French law, Beaujolais Nouveau is always released on 3rd Thur of Nov.
It is a red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France.

Beaujolais Nouveau is a purple-pink wine that is particularly lightweight, even by the standards of Beaujolais. The method of production means that there is very little tannin, and the wine can be dominated by fruity, ester flavours of bananas and pear drops. These are enhanced by the frequent recommendation to serve the wine lightly chilled, at approximately 13°C (55°F).

Wine lovers truly have something to be excited about: 2009 will likely go down as one of Beaujolais' best vintages on record. I just got myself a bottle and shall keep it for X'mas !

UNDERCOVERISM 2010 Spring/Summer “Less But Better” Collection

The sportier sub-line of UNDERCOVER, Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVERISM welcomes a new season with a preview of its upcoming designs for Spring/Summer 2010.

As mentioned earlier, this collection is heavily influenced by Dieter Rams' works for Braun, you can see pieces of Braun Hi-Fi systems, designed by Dieter Rams, in the Undercover store.

Dieter Rams “Less and More” Exhibition @ Design Museum

Opening today is the Dieter Rams ‘Less And More’ exhibition at the Design Museum in London. Dieter Rams was the director at the German electronics manufacturer Braun for over 30 years and is known globally for his simple and elegant aesthetics.

He has created a blueprint for the designs of today and even heavily influenced an upcoming UNDERCOVER S/S Mens collection, where Jun Takahashi followed the tones and details of Dieter Rams’ work and placed them in the context of fashion.

The exhibition is a retrospective of Dieter Ram’s career and showcasing his ground breaking designs for both Braun and Vitsoe. The event runs from today to March 7th 2010.
